OPERATING
COMMITTEE AND POOL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The affairs and management of
Sunny Willow Swim Club are in the charge of the Operating Committee under the
authority and direction of the Board of Directors. The Pool will be operated in accordance with the following rules.
The Operating Committee Chair
and/or Pool Manager and staff are required to enforce the rules and have the
authority to discipline any person whose behavior is unsatisfactory. The Pool Manager has complete authority
regarding the enforcement of all rules and regulations and is to be obeyed by
all members and their guests. Any
appeal regarding a decision of the Manager may be made only to the Chairman of
the Operating Committee or his/her delegate.
Interference by a second party will not be tolerated. Infraction of any rule could lead to the
suspension or exclusion as provided by the Constitution and By-Laws: “That any person not complying with rules
and regulations will be subject too suspension of up to three days.”
MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITIES
- Members are responsible
for the conduct of their guests.
Guests are subject to all club rules. No guest will be permitted to remain on pool grounds without
a sponsor.
- The Cost of repairing or replacing any property damaged by a
member or his/her guest will be charged to the responsible member.
- Anyone using the pool does so at his/her own risk. The club
will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries occurring on Club
Property.
- The club will not be responsible for the loss or damage to
personal property occurring on Club Property.
PERSONAL
CONDUCT - MEMBERS AND GUESTS
- Running, pushing, wrestling, or the causing if an objectionable
disturbance in the pool area will not be permitted.
- Abusive, profane, or other language not in keeping with a
wholesome, family oriented environment will not be permitted.
- Smoking, eating or drinking on the pool apron is not permitted.
- Anyone using the pool must be attired in appropriate swim wear.
POOL HOURS AND ADMITTANCE
- All members and guests must leave the pool grounds immediately
at closing time.
- Upon completion of daytime swimming meets, swimming lessons and
swim practice, the pool grounds must be cleared.
SPECIAL RULES FOR YOUTHS UNDER THE AGE OF 13
- All youths and guests must be accompanied by an adult member.
(Any member aged 16 or older)
- Any youth or guest must only use the shallow end of the pool
unless they have passed the Band Test and have their band with them, or are in the pool
accompanied by an adult member. See Bulletin Board or contact the office
for details of Band Test and times.
- Youths are not permitted on the pool apron during designated
adult swim times.
SPECIAL RULES FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 7
- Use of the baby pool is limited to Children under the age of
seven who are accompanied by an adult
member or guest who is responsible for their conduct and safety.
Parents are fully responsible for the proper hygiene and precautions
regarding toilet training and use of the baby pool. If a child is not completely toilet trained, cloth diapers that are
completely covered by rubber pants, or swim diapers are required to be
worn. Disposable diapers are not
permitted in the baby pool at any time.
- Children of any age who are not toilet trained are not
permitted in the mail pool at any time.
- Babies under the age of three are not permitted in the main
pool at any time. Both parents and children members will be suspended for
up to three days for violating rules A,B, or C of this section.
- Adult members will be responsible for any costs incurred by the
club that result from the toileting accidents of their children, babies or
guests.
- Children under the age of five using the toilet facilities must
be accompanied by an adult member or adult guest.
DIVING AREA ACTIVITIES
- The 12-foot section oof
the pool (the diving well) is reserved for diving. Only one person is allowed on the
diving board at a time.
- When using the diving boards, swim clear once the dive is
completed.
- At the discretion of the manager diving privileges may be
suspended for swimming in the diving well.
POOL SAFTEY AND HYGIENE
- No glass or breakable containers of any kind are allowed on the
pool grounds. This includes baby food jars, bottles, snapple containers,
etc.
- Only floating aides secured to the person will be permitted in
the pool. In all cases, these aides must be pre-approved by the Manager or
designate, All masks will be subject too inspection by the guard before
use in the pool. Only safety glass or plastic lenses are allowed.
- During crowded periods, the Manager or designate may clear the
pool of masks, swim fins, nerf balls and similar throwing objects.
- The pool apron is to be kept clear for walking. No Blankets,
chairs, towels, playpens or other obstructions are permitted on the pool
apron, including the apron around the baby pool.
- Hardball playing in not permitted in the pool area.
- At the discretion of the Manager or designate, admission may be
denied to anyone who, in his/her sole discretion, presents with infectious
cuts or skin abrasions, colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, general infections
or wearing bandages.
- Spitting or blowing of the nose is prohibited in the pool.
Spitting anywhere on the pool grounds is also prohibited.
- Talking or loitering at the life guard stands is not allowed
because it diverts the guard’s attention from the pool and swimmers.
VEHICLES AND DRIVING AND PARKING
- Operators of vehicles will drive slowly and carefully on the
driveway and in the parking lot.
Speed will not exceed 15 miles an hour. Directional arrows in the lot must be observed.
- No parking is allowed on the entrance road or adjacent school
property. All cars parking near the baby pool end must face the fence.
- Bicycles must be parked in the racks provided.
- Skateboards, roller blades, etc. are not permitted anywhere on
club property.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
- NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES ARE PERMITTED!!!
Anyone caught breaking this rule will be suspended for three days.
- Food and refreshments may be consumed in all areas except in
the main and baby pools and on the pool aprons.
POOL GROUNDS , EQUIPMENT AND CARE AND USE
- Trash must be placed in the provided receptacles.
- Destruction of picnic tables or benches is not allowed. Anyone caught damaging this property
will receive a bill for repairs or replacement. You may sit only on the
benches, never on the tables.
- Chairs, playpens and similar equipment may be left at the pool
during the summer. You must fold
them and stack them against either trees or fences. Items not adhering to
this standard may be confiscated by the club.
- Only umbrellas installed by the club are permitted.
- Pets are never allowed on the pool grounds.
