Welcome to the 2011 Summer Swim Season!
Go Sunny Willow Gators!
The Sunny Willow Swim and Diving Team welcomes club members age 5 to recent high school graduates. Swimming requirements for team members 12 & under are that each member has passed the club swimming test, which demonstrates the ability to swim 2 lengths of the pool without stopping (one of which is freestyle or crawl) and tread water for 30 seconds. The mission of the Sunny Willow Swim Team is to provide an opportunity for team members to participate in a safe, healthy, fun and competitive summer swimming experience. Our goal is to improve skill and understanding in the sport of competitive swimming and diving, develop camaraderie and friendship with team members, learn sportsmanship, and most importantly, to have fun!
There are 7 other teams in the Colonial Swim League, including Ft. Washington, Maple Manor, Manorlu, Hideaway, Maplewood, Upper Moreland, and Lenape Valley. The 2011 meet schedule is posted on the swim meets tab.
2011 Coaching Staff:
There will be a number of changes in our coaching staff as we enter the 2011 season.
We will say goodbye and thank you for the many years leading our team to Head Swim Coach Julie Bollinger and Head Diving Coach Lou Pompilii. Both have opted to spend more time with their young families this summer. We wish them both well!

¨Jack Eichenlaub: We welcome Jack Eichenlaub into the role of Head Swim Coach for the 2011 season. Jack was an Assistant Swim Coach last season with the Sunny Willow Gators, and helped coach at Fort Washington Swim Club the prior two summers. Jack brings years of competitive swimming background at Fort Washington Swim Club, Upper Dublin High School, and currently Bloomsburg University, where he is finishing his sophomore year, along with a ton of energy and excitement into this new role. We are very excited to have Jack lead the Gators this summer!
¨Nicole Romano: We also welcome back our Assistant Swim Coach Nicole Romano, who will join us for her 3rd summer coaching the Gators. Nicole grew up swimming for SWSC, as well as Germantown Academy. She currently is finishing her junior year and swims for Loyola University Maryland. Nicole brings a great focus and knowledge of swim technique, along with a tremendous positive energy to the assistant coach position. Nicole is also part of the SWSC lifeguard staff. We are very happy to have her back with the Gators.
¨Tyler Rinko: We are very happy to have former SWSC swimmer, former SWSC lifeguard, and Upper Dublin High School alumni Tyler Rinko join our staff as Assistant Swim Coach. Tyler will graduate from Roanoke College this summer, and plans to pursue a career in Elementary Education. Tyler will bring an enormous amount of enthusiasm and fun to the team, and we are excited to have him join the coaching staff.
¨Tarra Michael: In the role of Head Diving Coach, we are very excited to welcome Tarra Michael. Tarra brings years of experience coaching diving for Upper Moreland Swim Club, Lower Moreland Aquatic Club, Hatboro Horsham High School and U.S. Diving clubs Liberty Diving & Red Dragons Diving. Tarra has a great love of the sport of diving and great enthusiasm, and looks forward to sharing the love of diving with new and veteran divers. We are very thrilled to have her join the Gators coaching staff.

Swim Team Suits: Please be prepared to purchase your team suits at registration!
Team suits will be the similar to but somewhat different from last year’s suit: Dark Green TYR Diamondback (thinner straps) or
jammer screened with SWSC Gators logo from last year’s team shirts.The cost for the screened suits are as follows:
