Membership FAQs

Our members are the heart of Sunny Willow and we want to thank each and every one of you for making our club so special! Whether it’s seeing your child learn to swim for the first time, forging long-lasting friendships, or barbecuing with the gang, summers at Sunny Willow provide memories that last a lifetime.

We hope you enjoy all the benefits of membership available here at Sunny Willow.

Can I pay my dues On-Line with a Credit Card for Dues & Fees?

Yes. You can pay via your MemberSplash account (additional fees may apply). You can also pay via venmo: sunnywillow-swimclub. We also accept cash or checks.

Can I take a summer off and maintain my membership?

If you need to take a summer off from Sunny Willow your dues for that season will be $25. This will maintain your membership. You must be up to date on your dues before taking a year off.

Send your Membership Hold dues payment for the $25 amount instead of your normal dues and a note explaining that you are taking a summer off.

You cannot take more than one year off in a row without approval from the board of directors. If there is a need to do so you can send a letter to president@sunnywillow.com explaining  why you need an additional summer off and the president will bring your letter to the board for approval.

If no communication is received by the club and your dues are not paid by the end of a season, your bond will be revoked to pay for your unpaid dues.

What is the bond all about?

We have 350 bonds for the club. A bond is worth $300. A bond, similar to stock share, represents your partial ownership of Sunny Willow.

When the club opened the bond money from the original members was used to get the club going. The club was on a waiting list at that time so when a bond member left the club their bond was sold to the next person on the waiting list and the money given to the previous owner.

When you decide to leave Sunny Willow you have three options in regard to your bond:

  • Sell your bond yourself
  • Request the club to sell your bond
  • Donate your bond to the club

Most people who choose to sell ask the club to sell their bond for them. We sell the bonds in the order that they are returned to us to sell. Currently we sell between 5 and 20 bonds a season to new members.

How do I end my membership with Sunny Willow?

If you want to end your membership at Sunny Willow, send an email to membership@sunnywillow.com.

Your email should contain the following:

  • Your membership number
  • Your desire to end your membership
  • Your plan for your $300 bond. You can:
    • Sell your bond yourself
    • Request the club to sell your bond
    • Donate your bond to the club

If you choose to have the club sell you bond, you will need to deliver your bond certificate to the club. Your bond will be placed on the list of bonds to be sold. Bonds are sold in the order they are received. You will receive a check for $300 from the club the season your bond is purchased.

If no communication is received by the club and your dues are not paid by the end of a season, your bond will be revoked to pay for your unpaid dues.
